Acube Abodes Realty Becomes One Of The First Developers To Break Ground In Dubai In 2026

Acube Abodes Realty has officially broken ground on Altair 52, its latest premium residential development in the rapidly expanding master community of Dubai South. The ceremony marks the formal start of construction and reinforces the developer’s commitment to delivering high-quality, thoughtfully designed living spaces.

With this milestone, Altair 52 becomes one of the first residential projects to commence construction in the new year—an encouraging signal for Dubai’s high‑growth real estate sector, which recorded an unprecedented 215,700 property sales transactions last year valued at Dh686.8 billion, according to Dubai Land Department data.

Developers completed 42,784 residential units last year, a 45 percent increase from 2024. A total of 177,624 new units were launched, up 6.1 percent, ensuring a strong pipeline heading into 2026. Apartments dominated activity with 170,448 sales worth Dh332.9 billion, nearly 20 percent higher than the previous year. Villa sales also rose 11.1 percent to 34,671 units, totaling Dh206.9 billion.

Dubai’s property market is expected to see approximately 120,000 new homes delivered in 2026—a significant rise from 2024/2025. This signals a maturing market with greater buyer choice and potential price stabilization, although luxury segments remain resilient. While the large supply wave will test absorption, historical delays suggest actual deliveries may be lower, easing immediate oversupply concerns as buyers become more selective.
